The Inde' Industry's Still Hot!

"INVASIONS US"

Platinum status! That is what most independent Artists hope for when taking their careers into their own hands. The all out power and excitement of taking control of your own destiny in this music business is one of the things that makes inde' Artists press and press harder to fulfill their dreams.  One great example of this steadfast approach to self propelled success lies in Washington, DC's "Black Ant." A live band that has been playing the DC circuit with great acceptance. It's building blocks include Shydi Evans (lead vocals), Trevor Jones (drums vocals), Dennis Bunn (guitar) and James Anthony (bass vocals). In addition to playing the DC metro area, "Black Ant" has carried their sound even further,  from the major clubs of NYC to the South sides of Richmond, VA.  Their flavor consist of rock and hip-hop which is  displayed in their new CD "Invasion Us" Black Ant distributes hardcore vibrations that ring against the walls of every club they bite.  Excitement causes sweat to creep up on the surface of your skin without your knowledge.   Your attention is   totally drawn to the front of the stage. Your concentration and focus is upon them and before you know it, Black Ant gotcha!  It is only towards the end of the show that  you come to the realization of the sweat and energy you have exerted from the ferocious bite of the Ant.

There is a lot to be said about independent artists, but one thing that stands out front and in your face is the bold attitude one must take when embarking on such a major task. Grabbing' the bull by the horns and going all out for the sake of realizing the success of your own career. The result of your own efforts. So if you are a singer, rapper, or musician looking to break into this industry mostly by your own strength, remember that the odds are stacked against you. And know also that your only hope is to approach your career with unwavering determination. Imagine the attack of a lion, the hug of a bear, the eye of the tiger or the strength of the Black Ant.
